Nucraft supports responsible environmental policies and practices. In every business decision, we consider the ecological, social and economic effects, and here are some examples:

  • We buy hardwood veneers grown in U.S. forests managed for sustainable yields ​​​​​
  • Our finishes are formulated for employee safety and low-environmental impact
  • We meet, and often exceed, all government emissions standards
  • Our Environmental Management (EMS) practices reduce waste and promote recycling throughout our workplace
  • We contribute corporate resources to organizations that share our respect and commitment to the environment

Sourcing Responsibly

Nucraft partners with suppliers who take their commitment to sustainability as seriously as we do. Our standard suppliers are members of the US Green Building Council, UL Green Guard certified, and show a commitment to recycling and lowering chemical emissions from their products. We select our suppliers carefully to ensure that we continue to protect the environment – both indoors and out. Nucraft offers Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified product. The FSC® product orders ensure the materials used are sourced from a well-managed, sustainable source that also considers the rights of indigenous people.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Recycled Materials:

  • Aluminum
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Paper
  • Plastic wrap
  • Plastic banding
  • Metal banding
  • Hardware
  • Unused solid wood is sent to local wood product provider for various purposes such as mulch
  • Thinner is reclaimed for cleaning uses in other parts of the plant to reduce hazardous material waste

 

At Nucraft we are committed to sustainability and the reduction of material samples ending up in landfills. When you are done with your samples, you can send back your samples that have not expired to us at no cost. Contact [email protected] to request a prepaid shipping label.

When designing our headquarters, we wanted more than just a functional workspace. We wanted a building reflective of Nucraft’s values and our commitment to LEED standards. 

  • Installed skylights for natural light, electricty reduction and employee well being
  • LED and motion activated lights in plant
  • Electrical vehicle charging station and carpool parking spaces
  • We make our own shipping boxes 
  • We have a live roof above a portion of the plant
